Zoo and Concert!

We saw a bear...

And a wolf...

Some stairs...

And Asheba from Trinidad, performing for Putumayo kids!

Moon also ate some not so frozen blueberries. It was HOT! But very fun and worth the challenges. Dancing with all of those other children was great for lifting our spirits.

Patch and fashion, hand in hand.

These were actually from Sunday, but I have to blog these funny patch pictures for her to see one day. You also have to love how she wears her headbands. She loves this thing, only not worn keeping her hair back, but over her eyes. True fashionista.

The funny things that Moon's do...

Notice the wardrobe change here...

And hide from that mama, who Moon just noticed was watching her and taking her picture while she was being oh so cute....

Just an example of one day in the life of Bear...

A meal of all pans and a can of tomatoes.

Followed by juice in the kitchen!
A Long Day of Outside Play!

We had a busy morning, everyone in the co-op came by to pick up their orders. Then Adrienne came over with O to pick up their order and PLAY!

New Plastic climber thing, thanks to neighbor Vera!

Seriously, could he be any cuter??? No wonder Moon loves him!

Plus, he's a stunt guy.

She's a simple girl, sliding and boo-ing

Then, Longtime friend Echo came to play in our new daycare style backyard!

Riding in the new wagon, courtesy of our insurance agent's 10 year old!

Echo, looking like a beautiful nature babe
Mooner, eating some hummus

Taking the babies for a walk outside.
Spring days are so beautiful! We were outside for 5 hours or so, just loving our yard and playing. The best part is that Moon went to bed at 8:30! Never happens around here...Guess our plan to exhaust her finally worked. Always enlist other babies!

Powell Butte

What a beautiful place. Adrienne and I have agreed to get the babies out in nature more because we are burnt out on the park every single day (and I am very burnt out on music class under fluorescent lighting on beautiful days). Moon and O had so much fun RUNNING all over the place and having snacks. They even dealt with being backpacked in! Next time we are remembering a better hat for Moon and raisins for O.

Babywearing Moon

Multitasking

I made Moon a Mei Tai a few days ago and she is so freaking happy about it! She had a sling, but wearing her babies (or bear, or Elmo) up front got in her way. I should have known that she was a backwearer!
Happy Mother's Day!!!

For all the mama's in our life, be you Great-Gram', Ma-Maw, Nanny, Grammy, Aunt, Auntie, Friend, or Friender, we are so happy to have you in our life. Each mama we know is a blessing to us and our lives. We appreciate each gift of your personhood that you have shared with us. We have learned about childhood, parenthood, spirituality, love, kindness and so much more from you all. Today we are thankful for the opportunity to celebrate the strength that mama's have to change the world, just by being. Lots of love to you all today.

Moon and O's trip to the zoo

Here O, let me help you get down

Closest to an animal she got all day

In deep discussion over snacks and folding potty seat

And finally, the cutest shot ever. I love that these two littles are such pals. They have been playing together for almost a year now and are just amazing me. sigh.

The story of roses

I took this photo a few days ago
Cute, right?

Today
Hmmm. Moon? What are you doing?

Whatdidyoudo?
Mama leaves for work...

Bye Mooner!

Blowing kisses

Waving bye-bye

It's so hard to leave sometimes. I miss spending all of my time with Moon, but don't miss it all at once. I think as a pair, we are happy when I am working 15 hours a week or so (gone no more than 20). More than that and Moon gets really needy and generally unhappy. Not to mention what Patrick thinks! Less than that and I get unhappy and antsy. It's a balancing act, for sure.
