Quick Update on Electricity Savings
I was hoping it would have gone down more since we are running the dryer one out of every 9 loads or so, but it's also hard to say what is going on in the basement apt, since we didn't ask our renter to change his ways. I think I will take him down a few more fancy lightbulbs....
Period Ending | Average kWh Per Day | Average Cost Per Day |
Jul 2008 | 28.7 | 2.72 |
Jul 2007 | 31.9 | 3.11 |

I have been running my dryer less and also wondering if I'm saving any energy. Is there a website that helps you track and get that graph?
Yeah, summer is the time for line-dried clothes! We need to change more lightbulbs 'round here ... and remember to unplug all devices when not in use (cell phone, laptop plugs keep drawing electricity even with no device plugged in).
Hi Lee! That graph is actually from PGE online bill pay; cool, huh?!
and yeah, Davina, we totally need to unplug our chargers! Between 2 cell phones, the non-stop computer and the (very embarrassing) Dust Buster, I know we are wasting a lot.
