Catching up AGAIN!
I don't know how I get so behind blogging just pictures, but it happens.
I haven't been as excited about updating lately because our camera is not taking pictures so well, since falling into the Moon's hands more often than not...
Or maybe it's just that I am very very tired ;)

Anyhow, here are the girls. They made it into the front yard and I had to chase them around to get them into the backyard.

Lanny-Manny found his feet recently!

And he is teething. He loves chewing on everything, just like a puppy. We have taken to giving him dishtowels, which seem to be a big hit with him.

The Girls

They are growing up quickly! I try to make sure they spend several hours each day foraging for some nutritious food.
They are crazy for their feed though, and chase me around begging for it!

I didn't manage to get all 5 in a picture at once, but they are all here somewhere!

Chickies

The chicks on their first night out in the coop. Of course it was so cold (35 degrees F)that we had to wrap the coop in tarps, put their brooding box on its side under the light and give them some hay to sleep in.

There was one brave chick outside of the box when we first went to check on them at about 11PM.

Chicken Update

Brave chicken to stay in Moon's hands. The others just flew off when put into her hands.

New Coop! Thanks Nan and Papou for coming down to build this fancy palace. Moon calls it a castle. Patrick plans on living in there when he gets kicked out of the house. Glad they each have an affection for it :)

Chickie Day!!!

Landon and I went to get our new pets today. We ended up getting 5 chicks. 2 Arcauna's, 1 Barred Rock (I think!), 1 Golden Lace (I think!) and 1 Black Sexlink. They are very cute and Moon is especially enamored of them.
