Funny things that Moon does...

I thought I had better record some of these things, lest we forget them when she is old and we need them to embarrass her!

1. She is obsessed with Troy Bolton from High School Musical. Lately she has been pretending that he is chasing her around the house trying to pinch her butt. She also pretends that they are at the beach together, drinking apple juice.
2. She loves to have pretend conversations with her friends. I often catch her "talking" to Owen about whatever little dream world of fun she can imagine. Her and her imagination have tea parties, read books together, jump on the trampoline.
3. She is such an actress that it blows our minds. Too bad she is so shy in public because she has got things down. She can act out whole scenes from her favorites, Mary Poppins, HSM, Max and Ruby, Eloise. She often does these staring dead into the front door or wall. It must help her to concentrate.
4. Yoga. Not really that funny until you consider that she has decided that her nanny Kathryn took our tv home so that she could do yoga while watching it. This may be somewhat true. Moon unfolds towels and does yoga on them, pretending that Kathryn is here doing yoga with her. I gave her my yoga mat today and she asked if Lanny could do yoga with her. I obliged. When they were done, she rolled up the mat and said she was going to Kathryn's house.

There are so many more, I am sure, but these are things that she did just today! I really have my hands full. My heart too ;)

Park Day at Mt. Tabor

Always a good time for these two pals. As usual, Lanny was there but tucked into the carrier, avoiding the mama paparazzi.

Lanny's first stroller ride

Moon really wanted Lanny to ride in the stroller with him. Thanks to Auntie Sarah, we have this great stroller with a cuddly newborn side and a big girl side.
He seemed fairly content, although he will probably go in the carrier as a general rule for a bit longer.

Moon was very proud of her juice. For our Mother's Day morning we walked to the "flower store" aka Portland Nursery, then to the "coffee store" aka Starbucks.

The day before, Nanny, Papou and Uncle Jared came down to visit and work on my car. Here is Lanny in the carrier with Nanny. Just one second before he was signing I Love You. There are some traces left of it. He is totally snuggled into the carrier and sleeping.

Lanny is 3 months old!

On the 7th, our sweet little Lan turned the big 3 months. Sigh. In so many ways it's like he has been here forever and in others it seems like he was just born yesterday. I know I will be saying those things for the rest of my life, but they are so bittersweet and true! He is about 13 pounds and I have no idea how long.
It seems as though the teething has begun...notice the hand chewing? Add a few cups of drool to that and there you have our daily reality :)

This is the extra carseat in the house. Moon loves playing in it and her new "game" is playing car. I think that Owen taught it to her.

I think that they look so much alike! I wish that I had all of the Moon pictures on my computer, so that I could find better ones, but this is something.

Multnomah Falls

Papa and the Moon took a totally lovely hike to the falls with some of P's co-workers this week. They returned home so happy and so tired. The pictures do all of the talking.

What a day.

We went over to Owen's for some painting and other fun. The kids were just getting into every mess possible, then to top it off, my car wouldn't start! So we invited ourselves to stay a little longer ;)
A bit of Burgerville later, this is what we have:
A grub sister, no pants, covered in paint and ketchup. and dirt.

Beach Photo's, round 2

3 kids, 2 adults. Massive amounts of baggage.

Moon getting O to drink the bathwater. gross.

Sweet kids headed to the pool. Moon refuses to wear a suit (big tantrum, proclamations of horror), so she borrows Owen's trunks. Once we get down to the pool, she refuses to get in and has another wild tantrum, begging to go home and see Papa. We go back to the hotel room. Thanks for the drama Moon. My life would be incomplete with out it :)

These phones were such a hit! I think we may need a set at home.

Who is this kid? Oh, Lanny. Right. He was sleeping or in the pouch carrier the whole time. He was a trouper, made it through lots of drama happy as a clam. Here he was watching the big kids in the bath. Soon you will be able to join them sweet boy!
