And The Kids!
Sleepy Lan, on our way home from a walk.
Moon's first bubble tea! She got green tea with pineapple jellys. No bubbles, so technically not bubble tea, but they didn't have the ingredients for the tapioca balls and I just wasn't sure if they were Mooner-safe.
He loves her SO MUCH! She joined him on the play gym, he liked looking at her more than the silly parrot toy.
Chickies
The chicks on their first night out in the coop. Of course it was so cold (35 degrees F)that we had to wrap the coop in tarps, put their brooding box on its side under the light and give them some hay to sleep in.
There was one brave chick outside of the box when we first went to check on them at about 11PM.
All huddled together

Sometimes I am just burnt on the world. Other times, I feel hope and like I am capable of making change happen. Please read my blog post over on the "wordy blog" ;)

Hard Work.
I am doing the hardest spiritual work of my life right now. And I don't see it slowing down for a long time. I got out of the shower and asked P to cut off a ponytail of my hair. It took about 30 seconds and a couple of trimming snips to take off 10 inches of hair and some old vibes that were literally and metaphorically entangled in it. Feels good and I wanted to share it with all of you.

Jess with about a pound less hair! I will probably go have someone cut it all nicely with some layers or something, but this will do for now.

Beach Photo's, round 2
Sweet kids headed to the pool. Moon refuses to wear a suit (big tantrum, proclamations of horror), so she borrows Owen's trunks. Once we get down to the pool, she refuses to get in and has another wild tantrum, begging to go home and see Papa. We go back to the hotel room. Thanks for the drama Moon. My life would be incomplete with out it :)
Who is this kid? Oh, Lanny. Right. He was sleeping or in the pouch carrier the whole time. He was a trouper, made it through lots of drama happy as a clam. Here he was watching the big kids in the bath. Soon you will be able to join them sweet boy!

Moon's photography skills
Moon has taken to photography lately. She took over 80 pictures in the last 2 days. Here are some that demonstrate her skillz.
Baby Boo, chillin. If you look close, you will see the dolly has paper sunglasses on.
Lovely reality-scape here, don't you think?
(and you better believe I am totally embarrassed to post this, but it's a clever shot!)

Trip to the Beach!
The wonderful mama Adrienne invited the kids and I to the beach with her and Owen. The first night the kids had a blast, running into the ocean, digging in the sand, freezing their buns off in the wind.
These first couple of pictures are with my phone camera, so they are awful, but still get the point across.

Mooner riding the bunny at the carousel mall. Last year they had to stop the carousel for her to get off. Glad she could deal with it this year!
We had to leave the next day because Moon was having so many meltdowns. Not sure what it was all about, but she really wanted to go home and see papa. Of course, when we were home she talked about how windy the beach was, but she wanted to go see Owie again. Sorry sister!
Adrienne took a few pictures, so there may be a beach post #2 later :)
oh, and poor Lanny was there, he was just snuggled into a carrier the whole time!
