Papa and Moon on "ol' rusty" on it's last days...

Latest childproofing. This was done after Moon got down a breadknife from the knife rack and stuck it in the toaster (which I did unplug because she loves to play with it, but still!)

So sleepy. She finally passed out for Papa.

So I got out of the shower to find Moon had taken off all of her clothes, gotten a washcloth and climbed up onto the window sill and was doing "naked window washing" for the neighbors! After asking her to get down to at least the level of the couch, I took her picture. She is such a funny little girl...

It's good to be reminded just how fun a pair of socks can be.
Moon has been wearing her patch regularly for almost 2 months now. She doesn't wear it out of the house too often, but whenever she does, we are stopped by someone who has an experience with patching. It's so great to hear their stories, usually older people who patched 20 years ago or so, and see that they still have healthy eyes. It's also been an opportunity to educate people about amblyopia and other eye issues that Moon has (that are commonly diagnosed in childhood). Next month we will have a checkup to see how the eye is progressing. At first the progress seemed huge, but now I fear we have hit a plateau. But I really can't judge progress beyond my own observation of her eye tracking.

Gardening is hard, messy work.
It's also very cold outside, but wearing socks is equivalent to wearing a straight jacket, so I learned.

Moon is loving gettin' down to the Pepper's! Especially when Papa plays along...

So Moon now has 2 really exciting things going on. First, she took home a portable DVD player from Nan and Papou's house and is in love with watching her "shows" on it. Second, she got this new fancy canopy for her bed, which makes watching "shows" in her room even more awesome. I find it all to be much more wonderful that I would like to admit. Because she leaves me alone!!!
Terrible mama, right?
